The History
831 was one of 20 School Buses imported to the UK from the United States as an experiment to see if the American style of school transport could be used in the UK. Whilst there were some successful units set up, unfortunately the experiment didn't receive the necessary level of support across the UK. The vehicles were, however, were used for schools contracts, but mainly with individual schools.
In Aberdeen, 831 was used for a contract with Robert Gordons College until it was retired to the Training School, where it was used to train new recruits for their PCV licence. It is now part of the First Group Heritage Trust and is in it's school bus livery as supplied in 2002.
